Site24x7 distinguishes basic monitors, host monitors and advanced monitors, sells them in add-on packs, and also lists per-VM, per-container, per-device and per-page-view rates. Every one of those is a decision. Pingniner has a monitor count and a plan, and a server costs exactly what a website costs.
No separate allowance per type
Their entry plan gives you two servers and five websites. If you have one server and six websites, that plan does not fit and the next one up is priced for a different customer. Our thirty monitors can be thirty of anything, rearranged whenever you like.
Faster checks without an enterprise plan
Thirty-second checks start at $24 a month here. On their website plans, thirty seconds is the $999 tier.
Blacklist monitoring
Watching whether your mail server has landed on a DNSBL is not in their catalogue, and it is the kind of failure you otherwise learn about from a customer who never got your email.

Questions
Does Pingniner do APM?
No. There is no code-level tracing, no transaction breakdown, no database query profiling. If you need to know why a request was slow inside your application, Site24x7 can tell you and we cannot.
How does a server count against my plan?
As one monitor, the same as a website. There is no separate host allowance to buy.
Which is cheaper?
For a small mixed estate of websites and servers, Pingniner, usually by a wide margin. Once you need APM or network monitoring the comparison stops being about price, because we do not offer them at any price.
